What to Do Before Your Dumpster Gets to You

The driver will need 14-18 feet of vertical clearance, as well as 70 feet of ground clearance to back the dumpster into your driveway. Keeping an area with these dimensions open will ensure that the dumpster can fit in the space you’ve designated for placement.
Once the dumpster is placed, there are some things to bear in mind before you start throwing everything into the dumpster. First, be aware of what can and cannot go into the dumpster. Common household hazardous waste including electronics, tires, mercury-containing bulbs, and cleaners are generally prohibited from dumpsters.
Additionally, fuels, adhesives, resins, filters, oils, car batteries, and paints are also prohibited due to their potential to either damage the roll off container or pollute the air, water, or ground.
